So, 2004 is here. Already. In terms of gaming, you might say 2003 was the year of the Famicom -- at least for me it was, anyway.
I was going through some of my old games and stuff here in NY, and I came across my new-model Famicom and my Famicom Disk System. I broke 'em out to play a few classics (Zelda II, Metroid and Palutena no Kagami, if you're curious), and then decided to snap a couple of pics before packing them back away for another year. You never know when a magazine or web site is going to ask you for pics of this stuff, so they're good to have on-hand, just in case.
In any case, I made a couple of wallpaper images (1280x960) out of two of the photos I took. You can get to them by clicking on the preview images below:

Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
PS -- For one last shot of Famicom goodness, be sure to check out my "Big in Japan" column in issue #137 of NOM (Nintendo Official Magazine) UK. I'm not yet sure how much of my stuff actually made the final cut, but barring any weirdness, you should be able to find some cool Fami-related imagery in there.
